Parents Meeting - Tuesday, 31 August 2010:
Captain Alyson White called the meeting to introduce herself and
clarified her position within TX-179 Thunderbird Composite
Squadron. Captain White replaces Major Andrew Dice who has been
promoted to Group. The meeting also covered the following
topics: Cadet Testing, Cadet Boards, Attendance, Hydration,
E-Services and ended with the Questions And Answers session.

Squadron.
Sixteen cadets from TX-179Thunderbird Composite Squadron
participated in glider orientation flights on Saturday, July 31
and Sunday August 1, 2010. The Soaring Club of Houston were
wonderful hosts to the squadron while glider Orientation Pilots LtCol Hupp, Maj Weiman, Capt Toohey and Lt Hein worked their
magic to get all of the cadets up into the air. This was the
first glider flight for all but one cadet and each who
participated described the experience as “awesome!”.

July 24, 2009 - FlightSafety Tour. The
staff of FlightSafety International Houston gave cadets and
senior members a tour of their flight training facility.
Participants had a chance to fly in one of FlightSafety's full
motion Level D simulators.
