Ft. Bend County, TX- The Ft. Bend County Republican senatorial convention got underway Saturday March 25, 2006 with a prayer and patriotic flag ceremony.  Held at Foster High School in Lamar ISD, the convention opened with a speech given by incumbent Congressman Tom Delay. Civil Air patrol Thunderbird Squadron, based out of West Houston Airport,  posted the flags while the convention said the Pledge of Allegiance.  Miss Misty Dawn Adair sang the National Anthem during this heartfelt ceremony that opened the convention along with Delay’s speech. This gathering elects the Republican delegates to the statewide convention in San Antonio to be held June 2-3, 2006.  Hosted by the TFRW (Texas Federation of Republican Women). The event started on time as the adept team of Linda Hancock, Paula Gibson and JoLynn Pashall  coordinated refreshments, tables and information for the delegates.
