West Houston Airport- The West Houston Squadron of the Commemorative Air Force held its annual open house April 22-23, 2006 at West Houston Airport. Many vintage aircraft were on display. Among them was a PT 19, an AT-6 and a DC3, all in great condition. These and many other aircraft  went up both days taking lucky passengers on a once in a life time ride. Remax Realtors provided sky divers both days as well and a hot air balloon on Saturday.

Thunderbird Composite Squadron participated by providing help with parking and air craft marshalling through out the event. They had many displays inside their hangar including a display of engine parts, videos about CAP. Jack and Sherry Hampe generously loaned Sherry’s dad’s WWII leather flight suit along with a history of his Air Force career and photos.
